This is a New, Open Box Condition Pre-Owned Unbranded Jeweled High Quality Cut Blue Rhinestones 2" High CROSS Steel? Necklace with 20" Adjustable Jeweled Chain. No box or maker's mark could be found by me or a Jeweler. This was from an estate sale, and even though they said the stones were said to be rhinestones, they were so precisely faceted that I went to a Jeweler for a second opinion, and he said that they were High Quality Cut Rhinestones, and possibly some dark blue semi-precious stones. He also believed that the weight of the cross indicated it was probably steel, but could be high strength pewter. He characterized the finish on the metal as 'gun metal bluing', and said that this was characteristic of Eastern European makers and steel or cast iron, but without a maker's mark, it could have been made almost anywhere from any kind of metal. I count 39 stones on the cross of varying shaded of blue, ranging in size from 2.5 mm to 4.5 mm. There are 8 more pale blue 4.5 mm precisely faceted globes on the chain. The last pic is the back of the Cross. To show you how rugged this cross is, I accidentally dropped it from a height of about 4 feet onto concrete, and couldn't see any damage, nor were any of the stoned dislodged! _________________________________ FREE Domestic Economy Insured Shipping.
